Birch Bark Crafts
Jim DeVault is a member of the Mississippi Band of Chippewa Indians.  He resides in northern Minnesota with his wife and loves spending time with his grandchildren.  Jim learned his artistry of working with birch bark from his Grandmother north of Leech Lake.  Jim creates miniature canoes, containers with lids, wall decor and much more.  Although working with birch bark is a traditional art form, Jim has added a modern concept, he seals his birch bark items with varnish.  This not only brightens and retains color, the products also hold their shape much longer and are protected from staining.  You will find Jim's birch bark crafts beautifully unique!
